Power Transmission Company Limited has submitted the performance
report on the following parameters:
1. System Capacity

2. Demand Met During
the Year 2004-05:
MPPTCL system has met
the peak demand of more than 5000 MW twice in the year 2004-05. The
chart showing month wise maximum demand met during the year 2004-05
and a comparison with the month wise maximum demand met demand in the
year 2003-04 is given below:
3. Energy Handled
During the Year 2004-05:
The Transmission System of
the State has handled the energy to the tune of 29531 MUs in the year
2004-05. For the year 2003-04 the system handled 27554 MUs. The chart
giving month wise comparison for the years 2003-04 and 2004-05 is
given below:
4. Transmission
Losses:
There is a reduction of 0.5%
in the transmission losses from the year 2003-04 to the year 2004-05.
Simultaneously the system has handled about 7% more energy in the year
2004-05 from year 2003-04. The overall losses in the transmission
system for the year 2004-05 have been reduced to 5.62% from 6.12% in
the year 2003-04. For the year 2005-06, the Company has projected the
transmission losses of the order of 5.10%, a further reduction of
about 0.5%.
5. Frequency
Excursion:
During the year 2004-05, the
frequency was in range of 49 Hertz to 50.5 Hertz for more than 95
percentage of time. The quarter wise frequency profile is given below:
6. System
Availability:
The system availability for
all the four quarters for the year 2004-05 remained above 98%. The
quarter wise voltage wise details are given below:

7. Voltage Profile:
MPPTCL has claimed that due
to the system strengthening works taken up in last couple years,
barring a few incidences when the system voltage was recoded beyond
the limits, the over all voltage profile of the State system has been
improved. MPPTCL has averaged out the voltage wise voltage profile of
the State and presented that in the following charts:

major breakdowns during the Year 2004-05. |
