Shri P.C. Porwal, Chief Engineer, MPSEB, Jabalpur appears for the respondent Board.
The Petitioner have a unit in Pithampur in Dhar district which is engaged in the manufacture and export of synthetic/cotton blended yarn. The industry requires continuous supply of power to maintain particular temperature and humidity to produce good quality yarn for export. The petitioner's have a contract demand of 4600 KVA and MD recorded is in the range of 2966 KVA - 4078 KVA. The petitioner have a D.G. Set of 5.2 MW. Since their D.G. Set will be under repair for a period of 1 ½ months, petitioner needs permission to avail 4078 KVA power during evening peak load hours for the period for which D.G. Set is under repair. The Board has recommended that the petitioner be allowed to avail 3800 KVA power upto 31.07.2002 in evening peak load hours, subject to the condition that Board will have full authority to regulate the permitted power during system distress conditions.
Considering the facts and circumstances and recommendation of the Board, the petitioner is allowed to avail 3800 KVA power during evening peak load hours for a period of 2 months from the date of this order, subject to the condition that Board can regulate the permitted power during system distress conditions.
