Annual Fees payable by all Licensees who are authorised or exempted under the Indian Electricity Act,1910 (Act 9 of 1910) or the Electricity  supply Act,1948 (Act 54 of 1948) for distribution activities and  are deemed licensees under Madhya Pradesh Vidyut Sudhar Adhiniyam, 2000 and undertaking distribution and supply 

0.03% of the amount billed during the previous financial year in the supply area of the licensee and payable annually at the beginning of financial year (i.e. in April) during the validity of the license.

The fee as per 16(b) above is chargeable on total capacity of Captive Power units applied for, under each application separately for new permission or renewal.

(2)

The fee as prescribed for "renewal" shall be chargeable, when there is an existing valid permission and application of renewal is made before the expiry of earlier permission.

(3)

In case if a party runs the Captive Power Plant after the expiry of earlier permission, without obtaining permission for renewal or it is found that any new Captive Power Plant has been established (which shall mean actual commissioning of CPP) without taking prior permission, then three times the prescribed fee including that of processing fee shall be levied. The above fees shall be without prejudice to any other action to be taken by the Commission for unauthorized commissioning and use of Captive Power Plant.

Copies of interim or final orders passed by the Commission shall be sent to the parties at the first instance free of cost by ordinary post or shall be given to their authorised representatives. But afterwards the copies required by the parties or any other person, will only be supplied on payment of prescribed fees.
